Well HELLO again strangers!

Im back again from the silence! and here are some picture updates of what i purchased in replacement of the SUbaru! :):)

and a little bit of DOOF DOOF set up in the boot

Took a year to get all these put together and it finally paid off...mighty happy with how it turned out

Apologies for the absence for the past 1 year. Been terribly busy and really didnt have much time spent at home to blog at all. Nothing much changed apart from a few kgs of fats added to the waistline. lol

hello hello...hello AGAIN~...i think i need to type hello a few hundred times to payback for the super lack of updates. anyways..im over the defect from the cop incident...so im not gonna put any posts with regards to that. UNLESS my anger and rage decides to surface again!

Winter is here...Melbourne is getting real cold the last couple of weeks. You can see the temperature dropping by the day...the rain, and constant overcast has helped chilled the ground from the amount of heat soaked up over summer. Cold wind is blowing in as well...so welcome to the official descend of mercury levels. I have a feeling it is going to be cold this year...REAL COLD!

So whats with global warming? We are entering a new ice age people. ICE AGE!
buy your winter clothing while it is still cheap now! lol...ok i have nothing to back up the last sentence..just ignore it.

The subaru, my baby, is now GONE!!....i don't own it anymore..it is GONE!..i mean...she is gone!

hmmm...nth much has been going on lately. Was really really busy removing bits and pieces from the old car. Spent the whole Anzac long weekend removing the audio gear, wheels, discs, and many other stuff which were put in the last 4 years. A rather sad occassion seeing the car go but ...have to let her go to get the new one.

I dedicate this post to the White Subie which has served me well in the last 4 years. Taking me everywhere safe and sound. Neva gave up on me. And bringing me joy and happiness.

Hope she finds a good home soon.

And also, half dedication to the new car for now. Will have a full post on the new one with a small review on it as well.

Hello all.....a very big big sorry for the superbly long delay in update...been busy busy busy busyy like a dog....

my baby, work, parents were here, car, friends, all contributed to the absence of Quanzilities...

so so so...what da hell did i do the past month???? hmmm....PLENTY...so much that i forgot alot of them..haha...

ok firstly, just to report a very outdated story...Melbourne was hit by the worse hailstorm in a long long time....lemme show you some pictures: (this was what i experienced first hand)

And....a very unfortunate friend of mine, you know who you are, she and her sister and another housemate had their cars written off from the hail:

Hello people!~...been awhile huh...sorry....Penang was treating me too well i barely had any time to blog...ahh....now...its all over...my trip..my holiday...has finished and now i am back to reality...back to my usual life/routine....back to the land down under......

1st of all....I am proud to announce that i have finally...FINALLY had a chance to board the worlds largest commercial passenger aircraft....the Airbus A380 by Singapore AIrlines

ahhh...sooo...what is the big deal about this plane? IT IS A BIG DEAL!....ill leave the engineering stuff aside...but the experience is priceless...

its like taking a ride in a Rolls Royce Phantom...why so? because...it is so eerily quiet in this plane. I have read many reviews about this plane on the quietness of it but i was really skeptical. How can you insulate the noise from 4 giant thrusting turbofan engines sitting only a few metres away from you? HOW!!!....but!!! believe it or not...Airbus engineers managed to do it. During take off, you can barely hear the noise from the engines..YES! all for of them...of course I will be lying if i say i don't hear them at all, but, just take the noise of a normal aircraft taking off and you lower the volume by 70%...yes! that was what i think how quiet it was...30% loudness of a normal aircraft taking off.

Next most amazing thing is, as most of you might notice, immediately after take off or just before landing, you can hear the landing gears retracting. This usually gives a really lout exploding sort of noise. And this time i am not exaggerating. IF you do not pay any attention to it, you will not hear that noise at all in the A380.

The inflight entertaintment in the SIA A380 is also amazing. You get bigger screens in economy class, you get USB ports for your ipods/iphones or even load files from your usb sticks, you get LAN cable ports (not sure if they are functional but the fact that its there is good enough), and finally you get an RCA video input port too. The controllers for the entertaintment system was of awesome build too with the buttons lighting up to help you see in the dark.

Then there is a very cool feature added. They added a reading light just below the monitor (shinning straight onto the retractable tray/table). I think this is a brilliant idea for international passengers to fill up their arrival cards!

comfort wise, i still prefer seats in the BOeing 777ER of Singapore Airlines. No particular reason but i think it was because the seats did not recline as much in the A380 as compared to the 777ER.

Anyways....enough...i was just too excited to let u guys know how cool this aircraft is and would 100% want to board it again.

hmm..i don't really want to blog without pictures. The pictures i took are all in my netbook right now. My room is in a HUGE mess and my life is not good right now... I AM HOMESICK! lol....so gimme some time to sort out the pictures and i will blog more about my penang trip...

again....i apologise for the lack of updates...i promise after these few days, once i have settled down to life in Melbourne again, i will continue my frequent updates. muahaha

Sorry for the long pause people! Got back from Kota Kinabalu last night and was too tired to blog...so it has to be tonight before i start losing readers...:)

what can i say about KK....had an awesome time there...the food, the drinks, the company i had there, and not to forget...Mr. Don's weeding!!!! one of the best vacation EVER!...i did not bring my camera along...so ....really sorry guys...no pictures...but to make a visualisation...i would say...its party party party...drink drink drink...and eat eat eat!!!

Flight back was a little scary...the plane had some technical problem before our flight and was delayed for an hour...and....i don't think the problem was 100% rectified before we took off...so i was on my toes throughout the flight....Alhamdulilah i got back in 1 piece man! ...DAyEMM!!!!!

I hope the Melbourne weather is treating you guys well (for those in Melbourne). It is extremely hot here but i am not complaining....it's a previlige not to worry about bringing any jjacket wherever you go or at least not worried at all if the weather is gonna turn cold.

Went to this coffee shop along Gurney Drive called Song River. This is like a mandatory stop everytime i touch down in Penang from Melbourne. Dad already preprograms his brain to drive there regardless of how full/empty my stomach is...muahahahha

It is so nice to be back home.....the weather needs a little acclimatising BUT it won't take too long. After all, i've been here for the first 19 years of my life. 7 years in aussie land won't do much damage to how the body has evolved to suit this weather innit?

One thing that i have to brag will be my blackberry. It has not stopped surprising me ever since i got it. Guess what this time...the Blackberry service is working in Penang....singapore too~~~~

ahh...sorry for the recent drought in updates...been really really really busy in the days leading up to my trip home. 2 Friends will be having their wedding this weekend: Mr. Ummar Ariff, and Jacina Goh!

Just want to send my heartiest congratulations to them and also may they have a joyous married life after this weekend. lol.

Melbourne had a big change in temperature last monday, previous week being 46degrees, we had a max of 20degrees celcius last monday. What a big change. AND we will be expecting a lower than average temperature for the next 3 months...talk about global warming...this is global ice age looking to make an appearance!

Side skirts for the car has been sold....yes SOLD! ...no more side skirts for now. Car partially clay barred, and waxed....hmm...what else happened... OH
lysterfield park again last saturday with Kevin and Salony and another couple who tagged along. Poor salony had cut and bruises all over her leg...1st time ride!!! a little rough for sure haha

How coool has technology turned human life to. 10years ago, having a camera in a phone is a luxury many couldn't afford. Now, everything is so accessible. Ahhh I just love it. Its thursday now....next thursday will be a big milestone for me....firstly...it will mean the end of my rotation in where i am working now and to move on to another department/team. This will mean an extra 23-30minutes of driving everyday to that office. <-- does that mean i can put more stuff into the car since i will be spending more time in it???

And then....2nd milestone will be.... the beginning of my holiday back to penang. Will be off to Kota Kinabalu on Saturday, and then back to Penang again on Tuesday. :D:D:D excited!

Hope it will be an even better experience with the new team. Only problem will be........FOOD!!...there's not many food outlet in that new place. grrrrrr = grumpy me!

The temperature is AWESOME!!.....keeps rising... this was the temperature at 5.30pm yesterday

Even at 1am in the morning, my car was still showing 37degrees! WOW! You like that? My car air conditioning shut down for a few minutes when i left it idling while i make a phone call and while taking the picture above...I hope it was just the auto cut off and not anything malfunctioning! Sometimes i wonder why australian imported cars can't handle heat as well as Malaysian cars. Don't they know there are still a few days in a year where temperature can go crazy?

Which brings sweet memories about my Proton Wira.....And for my 1st 2010 award! i Shall give Proton Wiras the top award for having the best air conditioning units in their cars. I is that good people! Sometimes it even creates mist when left running at around 100km/h. Here are the momories

YO!!!...WAKE up from dreamland!... Christmas and New Year holiday has come to and end for most people. Well...mine ended last week...but i know there are many who took an extra week off to add to their long and well deserved year end break....but guess what people...its the 11th of January now...holidays are over....bye bye~~~~.....:D

Hope you guys are coping well with the early mornings and the extended hours of sitting. Yea rite...even during the holidays we are mostly sitting anyways....so ...don't complain muahaha

Well for the Victorians~.....the weather has decided to give everyone a good wake up call from holidays.... :

Bush fire alert is on a high today in many parts of Victoria and also other states..So for those out there in fire prone areas, make sure you keep yourselves updated with the updates and warnings and EVACUATE if need be! House/money/properties CAN......CAN!!!! be restored. But your lives can not be replaced!!!....so run when the bell rings yo!

Weekend was a good and relaxing one for me. Had dinner with a friend whom i have not seen in months at Rich Maha...picked the missus up fr work and then back home from there. Had an early night.

Saturday was again a quiet day. Hid in the house in air conditioning until around 5pm when the cool change came and Melbourne wasn't too hot for cells to function....had dinner...and gave the car a wash.

Sunday.....picked my sister up from airport.....went home and fell asleep until 4pm...lol....then dinner and grocery shopping before sending the missus back to her home. ahh...relaxing weekends are superb!

BTW guys....Jasermine Gooileris's blogspot is no more! lol.... she's got a new site which i have linked in the sidebar on the left. So for those who have been clicking on her blogspot.com site, you can delete it and save the new address coz you ain't gonna read anything new in the blogspot of hers anymore.

Lets say Hello to 2010 :D fresh new year....fresh new start....how nice!
hopefully this year will be a better year than the last for everyone...less war, less blood shed, less violence...i have heaps of things listed to be done for this year and i really do hope they will all happen in the next 12 months....more to spending money in a good way...will make a post on this within these few days

now for some updates on the sound system upgrade...:D

Starting with the power cables being wired up to the distribution block

Then the Ground cables...2amps and 1 equalizer... used the red because i ran out of brown ones :P

Once wiring was done, everything was put back in place. Sorry for crapt phone pictures

New spacers for the mid-bass...made from PVC pipe instead of MDF...fits like a glove!

Passive crossovers relocated to rear parcel shelf... muahahah

Made the box for the kill switch yesterday...hope this works...hmmm

Alright thats about all the pictures i've got for now....will take more pics with a proper camera once everything is done. Hopefully soon....

Oh....i also ripped off my side skirt on saturday....it was dodgily installed by a panel beater 2 years ago and now the double sided tapes are giving way <-- most likely due to the extreme heat in Melbourne lately...so its side skirtless right now:

hello again~~
First of all...a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR to my dear readers.....:D 2009 has been a superbly awesome year with many ups and downs (the latter not so much).

Just a big thank you to all my friends for being there when i need them.... Espcially my dear baby PuiMun who's always by my side when things go right or wrong.. for nagging me when i spend on my car...for telling me not to drink so much Coke....and for every little things that she has done for me....

This of course will also lead to some NO THANKS to some people who has given me misery in life.... who has given me broken promises...and also for being a pain in da arse! To whoever that is.... Those Thank YOus that i typed in previous paragraph EXCLUDES YOU!.... :D

Haven't been taking much photos lately... maybe because i am bored with my camera? is it time to move on and ditch the camera for a better one? Canon 500D or 450D? Nikon D60 or D90? or camera phone is just as good? Will see how when i go back to Penang in January. If i see a good price on any of those DSLRs, definitely they will not get away from my hands! hmmmm

I think i have bought most of the Xmas presents for the few that i am suppose to buy for. Kris Kringle at work tommorow....Lego for my nephew, UNO (<-- its has some kine of electronic card shooter) for my niece, TNC ring for baby, cordless phone for parents..LOL!, I will assume the Blackberry Bold is a present by myself to myself, and i think that is all. As i don't really celebrate Xmas, buying these few things should be sufficient :)

I am actually VERY tempted to get the Shimano XTR Rear Derailleur

BUT because it is 200++ i will settle for the Deore XT.... :P

Saw on ebay for around $80ish....delivered....so should be a good buy...my current one is old, outdated, ugly, and bent!.... :(

Xmas wEEK, Top Gear Season 14 Episode

The festivei season has arrived. People are rushing to get their last minute shopping and xmas preparation done. Cars are bustling everywhere. And kids, and also adults are going on a loose with alcohol. As history has shown, Driving + Alcohol = Most likely Death. So to all u guys out there....be safe, don't drink and drive, be cautious of other DRUNK ppl on the road and have a Merry Christmas!....

Shopping with the missus on Sunday. She's got her xmas present...and i got mine too!!!! wOOHOO~~..... Went to Chadstone twice on that day. Shoppers gone wild! haha.

Played badminton with Peter and Benny at Albert Park yesterday night and met up with Chandran and Affendi in Brunetties later at night.....DOCTORS !!!!!....they are DOCTORS already!!!... Congrats guys!

nth much left to update for now. Xmas is coming....Half day on Thursday..followed by a long long off week till 4th January 2010!!!.....another end of a very good year. One step backwards, 2steps forward

ahh....after a horrible week the week before, I am having a better one now. Last week was alright. Car is fixed. everything done and i can start my car now!...that is the most important.

OK....what are the forward steps? Sound system upgrade has commenced. will be adding a 2 channel Consonance Amp, 1 Eclipse EQ2101 sound processor, upgrading the splits from Crescendo Opus 3 to Crescendo Opus 8.6, upgrading power cables from 8gauge to 4 gauge, adding heaps of dynamat to the door, and a slight revission of the boot set up to accomodate the new amp. (All done with luggage space in mind)

Crescendo Diffusers will also be placed at the points behind speakers to reduce and absorb backwaves of the speakers, improving mid-bass and bass of the speakers.

Finally, all RCA cables were upgraded from the normal cheap ones to Harmonic Harmony 4M Acapella Interconnect RCA cables. :D

The active crossover box will also be relocated from under the front seats to the rear parcel shelf for display purposes.

a Kill Switch will be put in as well to allow easy access to isolate the power from the amps and what not in the boot.

Alright enough of typing, here are pictures of the progress so far. can't wait for the end result! :D

Hybrid VS Petrol

Just giving a simple calculation on the cost savings of a Hybrid car or a Petrol car. To give you guys a better understanding, i will pick a car with similar shape,size,brand for a fair comparison.
In this case a Honda Civic Petrol Sedan and a Honda Civic Hybrid.

*This comparison has no intention of putting down any brand/manufacturer. By using Honda as an example is purely a random choice. It is just a use of a real life example for a better visualisation of the situation. Do NOT read on if you disagree with the branding choice. The "X" button is situated on the top right hand corner of your browser window and you are free to place your mouse cursor over it and click on the left button if you are a right handed user or the right hand button if you are a left handed user.

For a start, here are the specifications of a Civic Sedan (PETROL)
I am not going to provide the full specification but just the few that we will be using for this comparison.

RRP: $26,280.00 (Civic VTi base model manual)
Combine cycle fuel consumption: 6.9 l/100kms

Civic Hybrid:

RRP : $ 38,020.00
Combine cycle fuel consumption: 4.6 l/100kms

A few assumptions:
Average kilometers travelled per annum = 25,000 kms
Average fuel price for the next 10 to 20 years will be around $1.25/litre
Maintenance cost for both cars are equal ~~(which is not true considering the battery in hybrids needs extra servicing)~~

Price difference : $ 38,020.00 - $ 26,280.00 = $11,740.00
Fuel used by Petrol Civic per annum = $1.25 X 6.9 X (25,000/100) = $ 2,156.25
Fuel used by Hybrid Civic per annum = $1.25 X 4.6 X (25,000/100) = $ 1,437.50

Savings in petrol from using a Hybrid Civic = $2,156.25 - $ 1,437.50 = $ 718.75

Therefore, to make up for the extra cost you paid to get a hybrid (thinking you will save more money on petrol and make back the extra cost) you will need to drive for ($11,740 / $ 718.75) years = 16.3years.

by then, your Hybrid will depreciate more in percentage than the petrol version which means, you need to drive a few more years to get back to losts.

Is it really more economical to drive a hybrid???
NO!....GET a petrol car ffs!
yes some might say save the planet and reduce CO2 emmisions....but the emmisions for the Hybrid and petrol version are 109 g/kms and 164g/km. Difference is 1.1 tonnes of gas per year. Considering the weight of atmosphere is 5x1018kg or 5 pentatonnes, 1.1 tonnes serves no purpose..its like you and me farting in a stadium....u smell within 2metre radius but beyond that...noone feels a thing.

So screw the Hybrid cars!! get Petrol!!!!!

Bad bad bad week

For those who don't already know, last week was one of the worst week i've ever had. As mentioned in the last post, my car died and i short the car by connecting the jumper leads the wront way round and blew the main fuse. Had to get a new one fr Subaru for $20. Cheeky people! Standard fuses are up to 100Amps but Subaru had to use 120Amps...so instead of $8 for normal ones, i had to get the overpriced 120Amp fuse fr them! Money suckers!

So...i've found the problem behind the car failing. Its the bloody Optima battery that is playing up. Bought it in August last year and now...its DEAD!!!! 16months only WTF!.... Lost my receipt and so i couldn't claim warranty. The distributor of Optima wasn't very helpful too. What a jerk! So now i'm using a cheapskate battery from AUtobarn ($60!!!!)....SiXtY bucks for a battery!! can u believe it??muahahaha

Will be ordering another brand of deep cycle battery --> BatCap 2000 from the US soon! oh yeh babeh!

This is actually a better battery as it gives 2000CCA instead of the 450CCA for the Optima Yellow Top D51!

Will see how it goes....money AGAIN! eff!!!!

1 Problem solved but this was scaring me...Thought was the alternator problem...which is like $1600bucks new from Subaru...geezussss.....kill me if it was man!

Went to You Yangs bike track with Phillip and his colleague Juls.

Took us quite awhile to get to the start of the track as me and Phil had no idea where it was...but it was worth the time coz....that track...TRACK NO. 13....is AWESOME!!! Its a semi downhill track with big drops and jumps. Just awesome.....so awesome until.....Jules (pictured below) crashed!!! with a loud bang!

Also check out the damage to his helmet. And this is no KMart helmet. So kids! ALWAYS put on your helmet. U never know when u need it!

And u thought that was the worst? NO!....when we finally got back to our cars, Juls's car brokedown! Talk about bad luck/day......what more can go worse than this? So we stayed on with him for another hour for him to call RACV and arrange for them to come.

ARGHHH.....In short, way too much happened last week. Might not sound as bad in this post coz i haven't mentioned everything....but these were the major ones. .. hmmm..anyways...i hope this is all the past now and will look forward for better days! Will be cleaning up the bicycle this week and get it ready for Lysterfield Park this weekend! woohoo~~

Had a crazy weekend. Left to Lakes Entrance at 4am on Saturday morning for MEASQ National Sound competition. Was there with the Agentz boys. Awesome day! NO SLEEP AT ALL!

Left at 10pm that night itself and got back at 1.30a.m. 600kms of driving yo! NICE! ....Torrential rain on the way home. WOOHOO~~...prolly the best drive i've had in years! NOiCE~

Car battery died last night. Most likely due to poor battery connection causing the alternator charge to be weak. Will be replacing the whole terminal set up today to stinger products. Gold plated stuff this time. No more cheap polished copper anymore....USELESS!

ooops...sorry for the updateless few days. been CRAZY busy the last weekend up until yesterday.
Been spending HEAPS of time with my super close friend...the Don!...haha...he flew off on Monday night. What a sad moment. He's one of my first friends that i made when I first got to Melbourne.

Been thru the whole uni life with him. Failed our only subject together too....=JAVA PROGRAMMING. Skipped class together, went homeless and drove around looking for house, play snooker during exam period (after studying), all the late night studies, all the sleepless nights doing assignments coz we never bothered doing it for the 5weeks given to complete it, laughed, worried, and everything a student life can be.

Nevertheless, he is one good, dependable, and true friend to have. Always reliable when you need help. Now he's back in Malaysia on a mission.....to be a good husband! and to be a rich man! Brotha! We will miss you!!..come back quick man..muahahah

and then there was yesterday. Took an RDO from work to attend my sister's ceremony at the high court. She was called to BAR...<---don't know how to explain but....i think that means she is a certified lawyer now. Which also means she is qualified to certify documents. AND i will buy a table from bunnings and put in front of DIAC office and collect $5 for every document she certifies. Will bring her during weekends or weekdays whenever she's available. MUAHAHAHAH...kidding la

So i serviced my car at Subaru Glen Waverly yesterday....Total Damage: $ 497.00. Had to get the pollen filter replaced, and also bleed and change the power steering fluid. Ahh...car feels good now....plus! i had a loan car to use as well...the MY09 Subaru Liberty. I must say....it is a bloody awesome car to drive. I will write on this soon.

After the sister's ceremony, i got a call from my baby saying her sewer is leaking all over her garage. So yung, as the water engineer rushed there to see the problem. and i thought it was my off day! felt like i was attending another rising main burst during work hour! lol....so we had the plumbers to fix up the problem. he did a CCTV on the sewer pipe and found a piece of wood stuck in the pipe. Removed it, and it's all fixed now. Garaged was disinfected as well......all good now...I can pangsai with peace now...haha

Quite a busy weekend ahead. Don, my old time buddy from uni will be flying home for good on Monday. So i'll be spending time with him for a bit before the big boy goes home for his marriage. Dinner at Kanpai on Chapel St. tonight. Then hang out a little ...muahaha

Eric, J-Mine and their Gooi gang has boarded the plane and are on the way back to Penang for a big wedding. Hope they have fun there.

And for the rest of the poor souls stuck away from home, don't worry, we have "home weather" for the rest of the week too!!!...oh yes! i love hot weather!

Tiger Woods in Melbourne

YES!...for the 1st time in more than 10 years, he is back down under. Playing in the JBWere Masters in Kingston Heath Golf Club.

From where he is playing, my office is only 400 meters away which means I will be stuck in this crazy traffic for today and tommorow. Helicopters are hovering in the airspace just to get a good view for tv reporting. Cars throng the streets to get to the venue. Cops can be seen everywhere controlling traffic. It is like a major party going on. Nice!

Being paid close to $4 million bucks to play in an event like this....how lucky is Tiger! Then again...it is Tiger Woods we are talking about. If you offer him $40,000....he would rather sit at home watching his 100inch plasma, sipping his $20,000/bottle wine maybe...and sitting on his $50,000 couch.

So....this post is not about the game of golf. It is about people's attitude. People who are not happy that the Victorian government paid him to attend this event.

They think....that it is a waste of tax payer's money to splurge on things like that. That golf is a stupid man's game and is not worth any attention from anyone. And that their tax money is put to waste by inviting this high profile sportsman at a small sum of $4million (IMO).

See, what they think might be true....if their minds are only limited to within their skull. Oh come on! Get out of the skull you whinging group of ppl!....There is more to this than that $4million.

Think about the tourism we attract. The hotels that are fully booked out. The restaurants, shopping centres, small businesses, tourist attractions, Citilink! Eastlink!, the extra speeding/traffic light tickets, clubs, HOSPITALS (from drunken fights), ambulances (to bring them from clubs to the hospitals), air tickets, .....etc....etc......

And the list goes on.....when you add up the amount interstate visitors will spend while visiting Melbourne for the weekend! $4million is NOTHING! So stop complaining people. It is not the end of the world. You need to spend money to earn money. Stop criticising your government. There is a reason why they are the government and you are not!!!!....Stop telling them what to do coz they DO KNOW what to do! Otherwise VIctoria will be long gone since their appointment into the office. Leave the govenment alone.

Crime is escalating but everyone blames the government for not providing enough security. Think again! It is the citizens that are the cause of all these violence. YOU fought for so many human rights. YOU fought for all the rights everyone should get and hence the leniency of our justice system. If someone is sentenced too long, YOU complain. If someone is sentenced to death, YOou complain. SO what does the government do? they be kind to all criminals. 4 years for murder?? or 15 years for mass murder?

6 months probation and 1 year license suspension for drunk driving and causing the death of an innocent life?

Tell me now...who is going to be afraid of all these? Quanzilities says....put these rascals in jail for a long period of time...teach them a lesson...then these kids/adults will know the consequences of their (trying to be macho) attitude.

Yes I do not agree when the coppers fine me for speeding. But I am not completely against them if they treat everyone the same.

So fellow VIctorians....PLEASE stop being against the Mr. Brumby or Mr. Rudd. Let them do their job and we as citizens, just enjoy the peace we have in this place. At least you do not have to worry a missile is gonna land in your backyard while sleeping. Only worry is your fellow Victorian stabbing you while you are partying in a club. So go back, teach your kids some good behaviour. Remember, everything starts from the family! If you teach them right, they will behave.

The Hay Fever

Thought might write something about this.
With the hot and dry spell hitting victoria in recent weeks, hayfever is the common sickness among Victorians. A quick trip to the pharmacy yesterday to get anti-histamine tablets and eye drops to surpress my reactions to the pollen and a small chat with the pharmacist made me realise that this year is one of the worse among all years for people catching the hayfever.

Hayfever or also known as Rhinitis in medical term describing irritation and inflammation of some internal areas of the nose. 3 most common parts of our body that will feel this are our throat, eyes, and nose.

So why the pollen?
It is because the pollens inhaled into our system will trigger the release of Histamine in our body which causes itching and swelling in our body.

The cure?
Anti-Histamine pills is the way to go if you want to be immortal to hayfever. BUT our body will get immune to this drug over time (usually 3 months) and will make these pills useless if kept using. So we should rotate different types of remedy to keep the effects going. BUT 3 months is roughly the duration of hayfever season each year. So you most likely will not need to rotate.

Why is it bad?
This is only my opinion. Our body excretes Histamine as a reaction to fight these external substance that gets into our system. By taking anti-histamines, we are preventing our body from defending itself. Yes we eliminate the itch but! that does not make our body any stronger. If anything, we are left with no antibody to protect our system. So should we take it? I say NO! I bought 1 strip last night and took 1 pill. only to come across THIS article this morning and after reading it, no way am I gonna put harm to my system.

It is not like other medicine where we take to prevent/eliminate virus or germs. This thing STOPS our body from its natural immunal system. So..........that box will be only for emergency. My say is...if you can still bare with the itchiness, don't take. If eyes are itchy, get eye drops...or just scratch it!

Reason for spike in hayfever cases this year?
Hypothesis:

Because it is spring season now….and because we received heavy rainfall for the past month
We get more plants growing as compared to the past few years
This means there are more plants ready for breeding with pollens
And now with the dry/hot spell, plus windy conditions the pollen count has increased

Don't know how much sense this theory makes, but I think it will be it!

hello everyone...sorry for the late update...been a little busy this week with the long weekend and all..muahah
had a cruise with the MRT boys last saturday...route was:

Awesome drive from Napean Hwy - Esplanade Drive - Up Arthur's Seat twisties - and finally Flinders.
6 cars came....

Didn't take much pictures as i was too busy talking and driving...lol....
I had the worse brake fade EVER in my car since driving it for 3 years. The downhill sections was too torturous for my brakes....ran wide in 1 corner with excess speed and of course it was caused by massive understeering...gee....thank goodness no car came from the other side.

Weather forecase for the next week looks superbly good!!!....high 20s and low 30s! WOOHOO!!! Bring on summer sky!!!

What else for the update?...hmmm....Pui Mun's parents will be down in Melbourne this week for a 3 week stay i think....and they will be moving to their new house after so many months of delay. And I am PANICK'ING!!!!....the amount of stuff i have in their garage is no joke! anyone wants to offer free storage?

Also on this post, I would like to share and help spread this organisation in New Zealand called FLEP. Short for Family Life Education Pasefika. They are a pacific health organisation based in Auckland, New Zealand. FLEP uses various media including music, drama, dance and arts to enhance dialogue with Pacific communities with which we work. Long weekend

Ahhh.....the long drought for public holidays in Victoria has finally broken. Its the start of our streak of public holidays with the next one coming this Tuesday. Melbourne Cup Day!. so ...to utlise it fully, i have decided to take an RDO/day off on Monday...which equates to....4 day weekend yo!!!!!!!!!

Gonna be a crazy weekend again. Dinner after work with Marv and Ryn, Don Ariff's farewell party @ Docklands, Cruise tmrw with MRT Performance boys, dinner with Eric at night, sunday will be a recovery day. Monday and Tuesday is planless at the mo yo! but....gee...looks like it won't be that way for long.

Got this last Thursday....after months of thinking and thinking and finally my HTC P3600i is showing signs of death....this is the replacement....wohooo!! whats so great? i'm still on the $49cap but have to pay an extra $20 for the Blackberry Internet Service. Lysterfield Park is the venue. We did the Commonwealth Games track 2 weeks ago, and this normal loop last weekend. AWESOME!

Thats all that is new. Eric will be down in Melbourne this Wednesday. Another superb week will be arriving soon yo!Poor boy has been having heaps of trouble from a bunch of childish "adults". Some acts by certain people just shows how uneducated one can be (not sure but seems like they are uneducated). Where are your moral values? Things that these people did were just pure pointless, childish, and will bring them to nowhere but to shame! and Quanzilities says....SHAME ON YOU!!!!!

How to wash a car with $3

This only applies in Australia. Many people refuse to wash their car because they think its too expensive to pay someone to wash. Yes it is and i agree too. A hand wash will easily cost $25 and above, and a machine wash,( those at petrol kiosks where you drive thru) will cost $9 for a basic wash with the latter usually being useless as your car will still be dirty. To make things worse, with current water restrictions being enforced, noone is allowed to wash their cars at the luxury of their backyard. So what do we do?

Those are not valid reasons! Washing your car is like washing your clothes. Do you really want to drive around in a filthy car? One with bird droppings and tree saps all around? Also, taking good care of your car paint will not only prevent your paint from fading and eventually rust, it will also ensure you fetch a higher resale value of the car when you eventually decide to sell up. Why so? Because when you look for a car to buy, your 1st view of the car will be the paint work...so how do we do it at a very affordable $3 at a local self-wash centre?

Easy...
Apparatus:

2 Microfibre cloths
Car shampoo (I'm using Meguir's now)
1 pail
1 $1 coin and 1 $2 coin

STEP 1
Insert $1 for this step to buy 2minutes of water time. (SELECT HIGH PRESSURE RINSE)
Thoroughly jet down all foreign objects especially on the bottom half of your car (Do this for 90seconds)
Then with the remaining 30seconds or so, fill up your bucket. Make sure there is a cloth in the bucket for you to point the jet outlet to prevent water from spraying all over.
Once done, add car shampoo into the pail and you are ready for the TLC.

STEP 2
With car still wet, use the microfibre cloth to scrub down your car starting from the upper section of your car and slowly working down your way to the lower section. I usually do the bonnet, roof, and boot 1st. Followed by the doors, and bumpers.
(this is because the lower part of the car usually has heaps of tiny sand particles and it will create microswirls if you contaminate your cloth with it)

STEP 3
Once you have washed down your car, use the left over soap water to clean the wheels. Start off with the rear wheels and then work your way to the front wheels. This is because front ones are usually dirtier and hotter and you don't want the water to dry up before you can rinse it off.

Once done, Proceed to step 4

STEP 4
Insert the $2 coin and rinse the car starting from the section you first applied soap on. Give each wheel a good splash as you work around the car. This should be done in around 2 and a half minutes leaving another 1.5minutes.

RUSH back to the mode selector and select "SPOT FREE RINSE" and systematically rinse from top to bottom to remove the recycled water you used in steps 1 to 3. If you don't do this, especially for those who are not planning to wipe dry the car, you will get water spots everywhere. So just do it!

Ok your car should be completely clean right now. First timers might miss out a few spots so make sure every panel has been cleaned!

STEP 5
This is an optional but a very advisable step. WIPE DOWN THE CAR!.
With the other clean microfibre cloth, dry your car! Don't be lazy. A wet car will collect dust and dirt as you drive thru the dirty air. JUST DO IT! Don't Ask too many questions! its YOUR CAR FFS!

STEP 6
Another optional step. Open up all doors, boot, bonnet, and petrol lid and wipe dry the insides where water has seeped in. If you have a 3rd microfibre/rag, that will be better because there are heaps of dirt and sand hidden in these places and you don't want your next wash to be done with a contaminated cloth.

STEP 7
this is a SUPEROPTION. Buy silicon based tyre shine. Spray onto a sponge and apply it on your tyres. After all that hardwork, this is the icing of the cake. Do it if you can.

STEP 8
Open up a can of Coke. Find a spot to sit. and watch your car shine in style!

NOTE TO ALL: Not all car wash centre allow bucket washing. In fact most of them do not allow. BUT if you go when it is not busy, it is completely fine. Just make sure you are not hogging the washing bay if there are other cars waiting.

REMINDER: Quanzilities recommends you not to use any soap, wax, or brush provided at the carwash. They are cheap and really abbrasive soap. And the brush provided are usually contaminated with soil particles.

ahh...another update of whats been happening is:. I am back competing in archery tournaments. WOOHOO!!!...After 6years of silence from the tournaments...i attended my new chapter of shooting in Moorabin on the 13th of September. Came overall 6th but got 1st in my class which is the 1st class Masters. LOL no idea what that means but its the 2nd rank down from the pros...LOL...so i think i did alright...

Long overdue....Cruise with MRT boys on the 22nd August to Great Ocean Road

Met at Subaru Docklands for a quick meet up with everyone and also for those who can't make it for the cruise

ahh....enough of car-camwhoring.....superb turn out ....14members turned up at the pre-cruise meet and i think 9 cars cruised together after that. Awesome drive plus superb weather.
Only downside is the treacherous road condition with rocks littered all over the road and a few road works area.

Next cruise will be on 31st October to Sorrento. Hope the next one will have even more turning up. Bythe way,

What a crazy weekend.....one of the 'funnest', action packed weekend i had in a long long time WOOHOO~~

What can I say.....weather is getting better now with warm days forcasted for the whole week. We've collected heaps of water in our catchments with Maroondah Reservoir and O'Shannassy Reservoir filled to capacity and overflowing....be rest assured that the spill will be collected further downstream at Sugarloaf Reservoir...

Our water storage is way higher then current date last year at 36.6% as of 2pm today (19/10/2009)...I say...good job to the clouds! muahahah

Summer is coming and with extreme hot weather forecasted, we will be losing heaps thru evaporation and also with dry wind factor seeping out some of our water. So this is a good relieve to compensate for the coming hot spells. I just hope it doesn't get too hot :)

That said, lets hope our water level keeps going up and soon we can start washing cars at home...taking our own sweet time cleaning every hole and gaps on our car...

So whats new with my life? NOTHING!!!.....when life is at its best, how much better can it get? kidding... work's treating me well, weather is treating me well.... friends are treating me well, only thing is money is not treating me too good....we can never get enough can we?

Mods to it so far is only a pair of HID.
The car came with complimentary rattles all around when we collected it. But those rattles are all fixed now by the Quanzilities and its as good as new now woohooo....

More updates will come once the modifications start to roll. But at the moment, it will be staying as is until i get the feel of what's goin on/in this car...muahahah

Hello again....i notice in my previous post my pictures are all chopped off. This is the 1st time i'm trying to direct link the pictures from photobucket but seems like the size i formated the pictures are too large for my blog layout..i will fix it soon....hopefully~

Another weekend is gone...only 4 days left before the next one comes up...amazing innit...if you look at it this way, Monday is a relaxing day where most people are still recovering from the weekend...so take it easy on yourself, and relax a little at work. Tuesday will be the start of your engines and you are expected to work hard. Wednesday is mid-week...so its a good reason to celebrate...we have mid-autumn festival, mid-winter festival, mid-EVERYtHING festival....so why not mid-week festival??? so here you go..another day to relax...
Thursday is back to business as usual but be happy...coz after Thursday you know its Friday!!!!
and when Friday comes.....its FRIDAY FFS!!!! don't we need to loosen up and have some fun at work?

Updates on da car

Enough of serious stuff, lets revert back to what this blog was about. The car!
New updates? Not much lately but there are still some:

A new sub box was put in place of the old one a few weeks back. 2 reasons for this are:
1) Need to make more luggage space
2) Previous off the shelf box was CRAPT and does not have the volume specified by my sub requirement.

So here you go. A new box with exactly 30litres of volume, fully sealed with infinite amount of screws and 1 tube of liquid nails. MDF thickness was 16mm. Box has a trapeziodal cross section with a sloping rear to allow it to sit flush with the slope of the rear seat backing. Height was restricted to 27cm (limited height due to rear strut brace in place). Internal walls lined with carpet underlay as well. Taaa daaaa:

A false panel was then made up to block off all views of the ugly box lol!

More addition to the sound system to come up soon in December.

Done, now with life updates, kiam ak nooi is down in Melbourne again this weekend. As usual, his night flight to Melbourne was delayed again. Jetstar i love you!. LOL....
2 hours of delay with the same excuse: Technical Glitch. Yeah rite....every flight from Launceston has technical problem? But whatever it is, they still brought my brother here safely and thats the most important innit? Seeing him 2 hours later is still better than not seeing him at all. So, still a half thumbs up to Jetstar.

Cremation for Pre-Historic Creatures (dinasaurs)

Why feel bad? we are just giving the dinosaurs a proper cremation after their death. Is that a crime?

They once lived and roam this planet. And they died in a natural catastrophe. Humans get proper burial/cremation after they part this life to go on to another. Don't dinosaurs deserve what humans get?

What we are doing is a sign of respect to the dead. Global warming is a consequence of our good deed. That's our price to pay for doing something good. But be rest assured, we will be returned with good karma soon.

Talk about desalination plant in Australia which has and been heavily criticized by the local Greenies. Bring on a better solution on how to produce fresh drinking water to Melbourne. Some said build a dam. Some say collect rainwater runoffs. But rain is not a constant parameter and it is the main factor in our water shortage equation.

No rain = no stormwater runoffs = no stormwater harvesting and dam recharge. So what is the point of all these protest? Desal is the only solution my friends.

Also with their suggestion of building a new dam. If this was what the government proposed, I am 110% sure they will be against all the habitat of our native flora and fauna being destroyed by the flooded region of the dam storage.

So...whatever we do, there will be a sacrifice. And we can only do this much to ensure the sustainability of water source in Victoria. Whatever it is, all these protest should have been done when man 1st invented the internal combustion engine. Not now! It is too late and there's nothing that can be done to prevent the use of fossil fuel to produce fresh water.

Me and Her at winery for lunch (Chantel) i think...Malaysian owned vineyard.

After lunch we proceeded to Lake Mountain for an AWESOME drive up. We also saw the devastation from the bushfire on Black Saturday. It was scary. My thoughts go out to all who lost their lives, and also those who lost their homes and belongings.

That is one trip. Now comes updates for da car. Finally managed to source an OEM Subaru roof rack. I've been using a boot mounted carrier and it annoys me each time it gives micro scratches on the paint surface. Now!!...i don't have to worry no more yo!

looks different. But i can still bear with it :) Wind noise from the rack has increased significantly due to resistance from the rack itself. Good thing is it's easy to mount and dismount it from the rails. Ok done for now. ahhh...sneak peak on the Great Ocean Road cruise with the MRT boys last Saturday.

ahhh.....so winter has oficially started...which means 1 thing....cooler air = more dense air = more oxygen = better combustion = more horsepower! YEAH~

nah ...doesn't make much difference...maybe 0.3 seconds difference 0-100km/h dash.

Disaster happened on friday night...muffler was busted.....2 holes were ripped into it at the hanger welding...which means a busy me changing muffler back to OEM ones...hmmmm...have to send the broken one back to the exhaust shop since its still under warranty.

Anyways, just feel like describing a few types of drivers.

1.) Loves to drive
People like this usually insist on driving him/herself to everywhere. No matter how far or how uneconomical, they just refuse to carpool or hop into any vehicle to get there. Ahhh...my reason is i don't usually trust my life in the hands of others on the wheel and also... by driving myself, i have the freedom to do whatever i want to do during or after the main destination. Hate being restricted to others' decision on what my day/night will turn out. I happen to fall into this category.

2.) Has a car but refuse to drive
ahhh..... this is the complete opposite of Type 1 driver... people like this are usually or more often then not....TIGHT ARSES!!!... they will find every opportunity to not drive and conveniently hop into anyone's car but theirs. They will give u the best reasons for not driving:

More fun for everyone to be in 1 car
Be environmentally friendly
You fetch me now, i'll fetch u next time (Next time will never happen)
Your car is alot nicer, lets cruise in style
Penang traffic very scary lah, i drive in australia already i kenot drive in malaysia anymore :S Most of them have only driven for less than a year in Australia. As if it makes a difference. Oh gosh!!..this group should go drown in their own toilet bowl!
Lets go for a cruise to XYZ ( cruise in their mind is.....cruise in your car!!!)

Ah...the last excuse really makes u feel like the dumbest ever human. I have fallen for this trap numerous times when someone asked me for a cruise, my mind was thinking a car cruise where a few cars go together...BUT in their mind!!! its you cruise yourself, we accompany you in your car!!..SMART!!!!! NOT!!!!....

3.) Uses others' car, talk like its theirs

ok this group is really sohai!... often there are ppl who uses their housemate's car or partner's car. but thats fine by me. BUT some goes 1 step too much. I know of people who drives someone else's car, (e.g. housemate or partner), goes around calling it their car and....AND!!!....complaining how shit the car is and how crapt it is. But when they don't get to use the car, they complain and ask for sympathy for their lack of mobility. Ahh...if its not your car, please appreciate it and stop complaining...if u are so picky...go buy yourself one and stop complaining

There are many other types but these 3 are the ones i can think of...Drive 2.) and 3.) annoys me the most!!...a few months driving in another country doesn;t make any difference when you are back driving in your hometown. Admit it...its just an excuse not to drive and to get free transport from others.....either that or you have brains smaller than a possum to be able to adapt your driving style back to where you learnt how to drive...in that case.... you are really prone to be a road-kill in the middle of Princess Highway...my advice....STAY AT HOME AND ROTT YOURSELF AWAY :)

ahhh.....like i said in the previous post....was expected to be bz bz bz in March....but it went on in April as well...finally i get to sit down in peace and put up some pictures and some words to the pictures :)

Its been such a bz 2 months for me...firstly with work. Had my 1st project setting off with condition assessment of sewer rising mains. Had to travel to Mornington Peninsula almost 4/5 days a week for 2mths consecutively. thats 140kms to and from work per day!....u do the math!

then there are other happenings. Pui Mun's lil sister started her course here and when she was down, the 1st 2-3 weeks was just taking her here and there and showing her around Melbourne.

then came stuff like f1, airshow, and cruises with fellow subaru owners.

Then~....shit happened with some friends whom i don't want to mention names here. But yeah, i shall not mention too much about it here but what happened has made me realise that there are times when u just can put too much faith in people whom u don't know that well. Well, its hard to tell but once something happens, u know there is a line to draw with those that don't treat u as well as u treat them. So let it be~

Work is getting busier and busier as the months passes but i'm enjoying it...so its all good...muahaha...let the pictures begin....the sequence of pics are not in right order :)

Much has been done to it since the last post about my lil white baby here.

1) Lenso Type-M 18x8 lightweight wheels with Kumho Ecsta KU31 225/40/ZR18
2) Hypertech Front and Rear strut braces
3) Custom Unequal Length Headers (giving it the boxer burble)
4) Oval muffler from Penang :) bought from the shop outside the Gooi's Mansion!

arghh...no much of a change in life lately...just a lot of changes in some people's mindset..its hard to predict how an individual can change in such a short amount of time...sad but its beyond our control on how one wants their life to be....we as a friend can only do this much to tolerate some shit...its not up to us nor is it our power to have control on how we want them to be...its their choice and if thats the way they pick it...then we should respect them and let them walk their own path while we continue walking our simple path of life...

besides that..i'm having a small dillema in life too....thinking of an investment property to buy but at the same time drooling over my Ford XR5 turbo...its on sale now due to the credit crunch...plus there's an offer for my car for a decent amount of money...but its obvious a property is more beneficial than to pay for something that depreciates over time....will see how it goes and i will weigh out my ability to purchase either one...muahahhaha

Hello again...sorry for the lack of updates as promised :( had been busy the last couple of weeks. Eric and his parents were in Melbourne doing their crazy shopping so me and Jacina as the ambassador of Melbourne were summoned to bring them around for their mission...SHOPPING!!!

Boxing day was mad!!...i spent so much on nonsense...eg. a BBQ Pit from bunnings, a Samsung 5.1 home theatre system, a few clothes, and most importantly a nice little gift for my baby.

Am at work right now on a New Year's eve. Office is dead quiet. There's barely anyone in here. Looks as if South East Water Limited has retrenched everyone in the office :P

Anyways, just want to take this opportunity to apologise to anyone whom I have unintentionally offended, hurt, or in anyway caused tension between our friendship in the year of 2008. However, there are a few that I have intentionally caused this tension and I DO NOT apologise AT ALL!! Like Bryan said, "BAD LUCK MATE". And for my other friends, "Maaf Zahir dan Batin". I love you guys and u are all my most valuable possesion in life.

Lets welcome 2009 together tonight with a happy and cheerful atmosphere. For those friends/brothers whom i can't be with to celebrate tonight, we will have our little belated celebration soon. Kin Yew, Yun Kai, Boon Ping, Kim Hye, Leon, Doro, Marcus, Bob Chan, Affendi, Niro and all that I have missed, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The time has come to wrap up the year of 2008. The year of RATS!!!...oh yeah!!!
So many things had happened in the past 12 months. Firstly, all of us who graduated in 2007 got their PR/TR. They are: My dearest Pui Mun, The Ah Pooi from penang, The Ah Tu from Tambun, Mr. Andy from Penang, and lastly myself. Its been a tremendously joyous year for us all.

Everyone got a job in a relatively short period of time and all seem to be happy with whatever they are doing.

Then comes our bestest buddy. Our all time buddy Mr. Kiam Ak Nooi who recently graduated in the southest part of Australia, Hobart. He's currently the rawk star of the group. He's been complaining, whining, and scaring the hell out of himself for not being able to finish in time even with me telling him he will. So...do you believe me now KIAM???? WOOOHOO!!!....CONGRATULATIONS BRO!!!!....with love, hugs, and kisses from all of us in Melbourne. We are so proud of you. On this day, we have a very proud Duck Egg with his Law Certificate walking around the streets of Hobart.

In the 12 months of my life in 2008, I have made plenty of new friends and also lost some friends. In 1 year, much have changed as well. From friends whom I thought were annoying at one point of life had become one of my closest friend. And from friends whom I once thought were true to me until i found that there are still people we can't trust entirely. Some friends hang around you for their own benefit. They will be gone and unheard of for months and months and only to come back to you to ask for favours. And then there are some who are nice in front of you but have wicked plans behind your back. Well oh well....there's only this much trust you can put on them. So if you think of it, it's better to have 1 true friend than to have a 100 friends who you can't even trust your daily life with let alone your own life. At least you know with that one true friend, you can rely on them at the most critical time.

So what have I achieved in 2008?

Got my PR
Got myself a job as a Graduate Engineer in South East Water
Finally being able to send my car for its 1st ever Autosalon
Moved in with my sister
Drove up to the snow :)
Brought my bow over to Melbourne and finally shooting with the Aussies
Ate cherry for the 1st time when Pui Mun's mum was here
Purchased my 1st online product from eBay
Met Tun Mahathir for the 1st time on his visit to MElbourne
and last but not least, ever so loved my baby more than ever!!!

So what's for 2009? Well I don't believe in setting specific goals to achieve and then only to grieve over your failure to do so. I will let things happen as it comes and then improve from there. Opportunities will always come in different form and if you have already set your goal, then there will be no space left for whatever new opportunities that may come by your way. So lets leave it open. BUT..i have a few goals up my sleaves... muahahhaha

First of all, i want to be able to spend more time with my family esp. my parents and my sister and also Pui Mun OF COURSE!!! Also not to forget my close friends who I will always love you guys as well.
Then, if possible, get myself a new car by end of 2009

I would like to wish Miss Jenna Ong Yee Lin a very happy birthday. She being the last among us to celebrate her birthday, will be turning 1 step to LAU AH MA status. woahahah

The Scary Experience

3 Weeks ago, I was out with Bryan and Kishen till quite late for coffee at Chapel Street. After that, I was driving home and decided to take a drive into the city. I got pulled over by a cop truck within minutes of entering the city, they were conducting a random check on me and my car. DAMN!!..got a warning and he let me off.

Last week!!..i got blardee chased by another patrol car on Princess Highway. One side of my HID blew a few nights b4 and i guess that was what got their attention and when they drove past me, they knew they had a juicy car to defect...luckily my senses were superb enough to make me take a u-turn and i saw them driving the opposite direction with full persuit lights on heading my initial direction. ARGHH!!!...blardee cops giving me grieve...went home that night and took off everything straight away.

There you go.....no more CF Bonnet...coz the scoop is illegal apparently...too bad to the cops...i have plans to get the bonnet back on again...this was what happened last night

Template has been completed for the scoop delete. Will be using a piece of alluminium at the moment. Soon i will be making a dry carbon plate to replace the alluminium. Just don't have the time to get things sorted out yet. New HIDs are coming soon hopefully.

Oh yea...sold my black rims as well....some guy bought it off me for his 180sx. Looks mad on his car actually. Was sad seeing the rims go to another person. But what's gotta be done gotta be done. New ones won't be coming so soon. Trying to accumulate some $$$ in the bank b3fore i spend.

.....what else is new.....oh yea...replaced my OEM batteries with this!!::

Optima D51 Yellow Top 400CCA dry cell, deep cycle batteries. $230 bucks for this yellow baby here. ITs amazingly superb for a battery this size. Now there's no worries of my car not able to start up after only 12hours left in the basement WTF!!!!...

On another note, I want to wish Kiam Ak Nooi CONGRATULATIONS for his final results and also to his graduation from UNITAS. Previous post was for his final exam, this is for his final visit to his uni hall for his convocation..WOOHOO!!!....and also to the addition of a new car by a Penangite in Tasmania...can't wait for you to come on the 21st bro!!...we all missing you here and already excited about your visit..

ALSO!!...i proudly announce that...I am no longer on Bridging/Student visa anymore...got my email last night at around 12.30a.m. that my Permanent Resident Visa has been granted...HOLY CRAPT!!!....i'm so happy...alright..lunch time...ciaoz

MISC parts

Some random parts I recently added....

Engine bay with the parts installed, Pivot Spark Earth, Pivot Voltage Stabiliser, Pivot Grounding cable, Cusco oil catch tank, DIY Cold air intake, OWS Spark Plugs, and K&N Panel air filter.

There is no return hose to the intake manifold yet. The cables provided were not long enough. Still looking for the right hose size to get the return hose hooked up.

HAHA....check out my sponges!!...can't be bothered making a plate to cover the holes to prevent hot air from entering...sponge will do the job for now.

DRAINAGE PIPE!!!....woohoo...20bucks as opposed to the cheapest available aftermarket ones ($$$$150!!!)

And my favourite!!....intakes from foglights!!...this was a pain in the ass to get done but i love the way it looks now...only 1 fog light now but who cares!...

Finally!!...COmplete!!.....YEAH!!....been bz da past few weeks wasting time...woahaha....these are the pictures as promised!.

Wiring and amps are placed as planned in the boot..I was contemplating if i should keep the spare tyres on....left it there in the end just in case stupid things happens.
MDF was used to raise the floor of the boot to make it flat.More sound deadening material are used in the boot lid to eliminate vibration from the subwoofer...a rather cheap modification to reduce noise vibration in the cabin
The final floor with the amps in place...looks clean and OEM....woahahha....this is a 3 days worth of job...had to go around searching for materials and carrying out all the wood work and planning
The Final layout!....i am still thinking if i should reposition my cross-overs for display in the boot....shall get it sorted soon....

Nothing much has been happening in "Melbourne. Everything is as usual, wasting time, waking up late....and continuing with my job applications. Fingers crossed i'll get one soon!!..money is running out... Kin Yew was here last week for a short trip just to chill with me..how sweet...

Eric Kiam Ak Nook will be coming soon as well....so....hopefully i can keep myself busy with all my friends coming to Melbourne.

Harlo everyone!!...I;m BACK from hibernation....sorry for the quietness i put this blog into..haha....i've been superbly busy with so so so many things ever since i got back from Penang. and the best is...Limpek is already working in a very tiny lil company in Clayton, Victoria...muahaha...besides that, i was busy with my other job applications, my baby, friends, and ALSO my caR!....aight....this trip back to penang was a rather rushing one and i didn't buy much for my car...nor did i buy much for pui mun as well..haha....

So....wtf am i so bz with my car ???......the sound system peeps!!!.....1stly....Pioneer DEH-P4050UB from penang courtesy of Jonathan Goh as the courier boy....poor kid had to carry it all the way back for me ...haha...its an MP3 player, single disc, and most superbly!!....USB reader...so meaning...i won't have to buy a cd for my car anymore...just get a USB thumbdrive!!....kewl man!

Seterusnya..................Crescendo 6.5' splits for the front

Installing this nonsense....was a blardee pain in the ass....took 7 hours fo rme and another friend, Adhika, to fix this....DAYMNSS!!!!....had to sound proff it and all the messy wiring....

Then,....for the passengers!.....an Alpine Type S 2 way speakers,4'. don't say i don't love my passengers...

And the highlight willl be.....zeng zeng zeng.....Alpine X12 4channel 900W Max output amplifiers for the woofer and also ....maybe....the front splits...got it on sunday at a VERY ridiculously low price...but high enough to burn a hole the size of....planet Mars in my credit card...thanks to commonwealth bank!!..hahaha

The woofers will be going into the boot this weekend...it will be 10inch 200-300 RMS subwoofer!!...woohoo...have to prepare earplugs in my car soon...muahahaha

And another section.........WE WENT FISHING IN DANDENONG!!!....during Easter break...me, mun mun, kishpitan, ah pooi, and li lin.....we went to this farm in dandenong to catch fish....kanasai 3 atlantic salmon, and 3 rainbow trouts....all done the cheaters way!!!....FARM FISHING!!...hahaha....but it wus a happy outing...

Next post will be on the completed subs and also how we cooked the fishes!!...woohoo!!!.....I might post sth about other parts in my car if i have time sometime b4 this weekend...until then....CIAOZZZZZZ

It's about time i update update..muahaauuaua....back in Melbourne on Valentines...superb...the flight was not a very pleasant one...it wuz rough and bumpy once the plane was passing the summatra range...gosh...felt like i was on the way up to Mt. Dandenong...haha...

anyways....penang trip was awesome this time...just didn't have much time to do many things...
well....to begin with...I got a job...FINALLy...haha....though the pay is not too high...but...its ok for a start...fingers crossed this job will help me speed up my PR approval....and off we go for a higher paying job...muahaha....

It was nice to be able to see my baby once again...1 month.damn....baby = Pui Mun.....

my car has finally been fixed from previous accident...but the workmanship is BAD!!!....LIKE BAD!!!....have to get it detailed soon once i can manage to find some time to send her in...ok.....

This time back to melbourne.....had a great start...1st of all...most of my friends have graduated...and most are looking for job or have already foudn one...so....its good....

Last weekend was a great weekend...wat a great start to 2008....Melbourne International Motorshow!!!!

I was suppose to post this up a few weeks ago......keep forgetting....aight...i have alot to blog now...my sound system is nearing its completion....stay tuned!!!!

Hello everyone.....its been a busy 2 weeks for me....I am back in Penang liao...wooohooo!!!.... it was a last minute decision to come back.... had to sit for my IELTS test ...all thanks to the PR application requirement in Australia....had to come back and sit for the test because all the IELTS centres in Melbourne are fully booked until February.....can't afford to wait till than as my student visa is expiring soon and i hasve to get all these done before that time to get my bridging visa...muahaha....

Have been hanging out most of the time with my buddies....mostly from australia ones...hahah...especially kiam ak nooi whom i get to meet very seldom as he is stuck in the land at the extreme bottom of Australia...haha....

as usual....makan, mamak, and running some errands together with him in Penang...

Ah xiang came down to penang with pearly and their families for a few day's visit....went out with them on the 1st weekend

then visited my favourite beach spot....Sunset Belouvard....however you spell that...haha... its a nice place in Batu Feringghi next to ParkRoyal Hotel...muahaha..... Coke and sitting on the beach... how good can life get??.....

Then went to KL the following week for my IELTS test....and of course...have to visit KTZ for my dosage of Fa Sang Wu....muahaha..peanut paste...its my all time favourite desert... went to the branch in SS2 with my dad and sister...its so superb...i just love it..there's nowhere else i know of that serves such superb peanut paste

Then on the way home....disaster struck...my car's belts...BELTS....all snapped 2/3 way back to Penang.... lost my water pump, power steering pump, and aircon'd pump power.... it wuz because of a faulty water pump....had to take a cab back from Kuala Kangsar back to penang and collected the car 2 days later...fucking hell...wat an experience... wuz on the tow truck when i took the picture below..... 60 km/h @ 0 RPM???....even a Ferrari can't do this...muahaha

besides all mentioned, haven't done much at the moment..... was fixing up my house today...repairing some parts that has damages..... old house....as usual...patching up small cracks here and there...sien betul....

been thinking very very SUPER FUCKING hard with kiam ak nooi if we should get a PDA phone... looking around for different brands to get....but still unsure if we should get it yet...

anyways....i oso wanna say sth....CONGRATULATIONS to my baby on her new job... she's nomore a cafe girl lioa..muahahhaha.... all grown up and in the working class...my goodness.... mine coming soon HOPEFULLY...muahahah.... ok ok ....

Injured Baby

Approximately 2 months ago..... some blardee motherfucker hit my car....apparently he failed a few subjects and he wuz too stressed out and couldn't see me turning....WTF???....

I wuz coming in from main road....(CLAYTON ROAD) into my house street and that dumb guy wuz getting into the main road....so who's fault wuz it??...NOT MINE...

he said he didn't see my car there....my goodness....according to Monash University Research for road accidents, white cars are the most visible on the road regardless of the light condition....he told me he didn't see me.......we probably have to drive fluorescent coloured cars in the future..

my car now is no more accident free...which means, the 2nd hand value is like 1/10000000 of the market value... DAMN!!!.....anyways...

Damage:

Inner rear arch....accordine to the workshop, this is a pain in the arse to repair

Had to claim my own insurance for the repairs. that guy didn't have any insurance...he has the 3rd party insurance that comes with the REGO (roadtax). but then...it only covers compensation for life....it doesn;t cover properties...kanasai....so i have no choice but to use my insurance to freaking fix it...luckily they were kinda enough to waive off my excess fee (AUD 1200).....GOOD!!!!

the car is in the workshop liao....sent it in together with my side skirt to get installed at the same time...muahaha....shall post pics of the new look soon....

if i get a chance...i don't mind being the police officer who drives this...just don't ask me to catch people...ill drive it and get my partner to the criminal...he can do the rest of the job of arresting...muahaha...

I am Terribly sorry for the updateless blog for the past few months..hahah....i wuz so busy and occupied with so many things...i don't even have a proper and peaceful time to pang sai...damn...

anyways....December 13th was the time i have been waiting for all my life...MY GRADUATION ceremony....yes!!...i graduated people....4 years of trecherous life in MonasH clayton....damn!!!

wuz the happiest time in my life.... together with me was Jacina, Jenna, Marvin, Don, and
sayjun.... we had our convocation all at the same day and time. superb!
