Hi guys...this post came probably a little late...i was meant to put it up but i totally forgot about it...in wake of the disaster that happened in Haiti, the artists has gathered to remake the song We Are The World recently...here it is:



Although I've heard this song repeatedly, it still touches me everytime i watch it for some reason. We can all make a small contribution to these victims of natural disaster.

Hello people!~...been awhile huh...sorry....Penang was treating me too well i barely had any time to blog...ahh....now...its all over...my trip..my holiday...has finished and now i am back to reality...back to my usual life/routine....back to the land down under......

1st of all....I am proud to announce that i have finally...FINALLY had a chance to board the worlds largest commercial passenger aircraft....the Airbus A380 by Singapore AIrlines

ahhh...sooo...what is the big deal about this plane? IT IS A BIG DEAL!....ill leave the engineering stuff aside...but the experience is priceless...

its like taking a ride in a Rolls Royce Phantom...why so? because...it is so eerily quiet in this plane. I have read many reviews about this plane on the quietness of it but i was really skeptical. How can you insulate the noise from 4 giant thrusting turbofan engines sitting only a few metres away from you? HOW!!!....but!!! believe it or not...Airbus engineers managed to do it. During take off, you can barely hear the noise from the engines..YES! all for of them...of course I will be lying if i say i don't hear them at all, but, just take the noise of a normal aircraft taking off and you lower the volume by 70%...yes! that was what i think how quiet it was...30% loudness of a normal aircraft taking off.

Next most amazing thing is, as most of you might notice, immediately after take off or just before landing, you can hear the landing gears retracting. This usually gives a really lout exploding sort of noise. And this time i am not exaggerating. IF you do not pay any attention to it, you will not hear that noise at all in the A380.

The inflight entertaintment in the SIA A380 is also amazing. You get bigger screens in economy class, you get USB ports for your ipods/iphones or even load files from your usb sticks, you get LAN cable ports (not sure if they are functional but the fact that its there is good enough), and finally you get an  RCA video input port too. The controllers for the entertaintment system was of awesome build too with the buttons lighting up to help you see in the dark.

Then there is a very cool feature added. They added a reading light just below the monitor (shinning straight onto the retractable tray/table). I think this is a brilliant idea for international passengers to fill up their arrival cards!

comfort wise, i still prefer seats in the BOeing 777ER of Singapore Airlines. No particular reason but i think it was because the seats did not recline as much in the A380 as compared to the 777ER.

Anyways....enough...i was just too excited to let u guys know how cool this aircraft is and would 100% want to board it again. 

hmm..i don't really want to blog without pictures. The pictures i took are all in my netbook right now. My room is in a HUGE mess and my life is not good right now... I AM HOMESICK! lol....so gimme some time to sort out the pictures and i will blog more about my penang trip...

again....i apologise for the lack of updates...i promise after these few days, once i have settled down to life in Melbourne again, i will continue my frequent updates. muahaha

ok...actually i fail....this is only 20% of the food i ate...haha...did not take my BB with me most of the time coz.... BECAUSE......i forgot to get it unlocked before i left Melbourne...arghhh...so now i can only use it where there is wifi....or...i can ROAM...which is blardee expensive...life sucks!

on another note...just to show off a little....here's a present for myself...a reward... muahahha

 

 

Ordered in a rubber strap for it too...should be here before chinese new year which is on the 14th of February people...i'm loving the watch yo!!! New obsession for now...car modification shall seize real soon....ahhh...

hmmm....this trip has been a real real blast...loving it to maximum....don't know why but it is really really a crazy ass holiday for me...i don't know if i can get back to working routine in 2 weeks time..already half way there...sigh....have you guys planned your trip back to visit your families?

if you haven't...do it ASAP!!!....there's nothing more meaningful than to be by your parents/family's side during chinese new year for those who do celebrate.......ALSO! for those taking long trips, be it driving, flying, walking, jogging, riding, or crawling back.....haVE a safe trip guys...be safe and do not speed! Remember...your whole point of this trip is to REAch theRE!!!...yourself! NOT in a plastic bag....so....take good care of yourselves...

Sorry for the long pause people! Got back from Kota Kinabalu last night and was too tired to blog...so it has to be tonight before i start losing readers...:)

what can i say about KK....had an awesome time there...the food, the drinks, the company i had there, and not to forget...Mr. Don's weeding!!!! one of the best vacation EVER!...i did not bring my camera along...so ....really sorry guys...no pictures...but to make a visualisation...i would say...its party party party...drink drink drink...and eat eat eat!!!

Flight back was a little scary...the plane had some technical problem before our flight and was delayed for an hour...and....i don't think the problem was 100% rectified before we took off...so i was on my toes throughout the flight....Alhamdulilah i got back in 1 piece man! ...DAyEMM!!!!!

Hmmm......this is a teaser....there's more to come from tonight's dinner...but.....bad news came during dinner...my maternal grandmother passed away while we were having dinner tonight. I am having mixed emotions now...hmm

Though haven't spent much time with her all these years since i was borned, she still means alot to me. I will be driving back to mum's hometown tommorow morning for the funeral and will most likely not be around again to blog for at least a few days...im guessing at least 5 days. My apologies to you guys for this. I will try to get internet connection there.

I hope the Melbourne weather is treating you guys well (for those in Melbourne). It is extremely hot here but i am not complaining....it's a previlige not to worry about bringing any jjacket wherever you go or at least not worried at all if the weather is gonna turn cold.

This has been a very eventful trip. I hope things will only get better from now.

ok...right now..i am sitting in my room in Penang typing this post...muahahah...departed Melbourne @ 11.20am, arrived in Singaport for transit at 1600 hours Malaysia time (GMT+8)....then Departed S'pore at 1900 and arrived at 2010hours!!!  wooohooo!!!...my life is gonna rawk!

Went to this coffee shop along Gurney Drive called Song River. This is like a mandatory stop everytime i touch down in Penang from Melbourne. Dad already preprograms his brain to drive there regardless of how full/empty my stomach is...muahahahha

just by typing this post...im feeling hungry again although i just ate them bout 2 hours ago....lol...

It is so nice to be back home.....the weather needs a little acclimatising BUT it won't take too long. After all, i've been here for the first 19 years of my life. 7 years in aussie land won't do much damage to how the body has evolved to suit this weather innit?

One thing that i have to brag will be my blackberry. It has not stopped surprising me ever since i got it. Guess what this time...the Blackberry service is working in Penang....singapore too~~~~
woohoo!!! i can safely say....that...i made the most correct choice by getting this phone instead of an iphone!

ahh...sorry for the recent drought in updates...been really really really busy in the days leading up to my trip home. 2 Friends will be having their wedding this weekend: Mr. Ummar Ariff, and Jacina Goh!

Just want to send my heartiest congratulations to them and also may they have a joyous married life after this weekend. lol.

Melbourne had a big change in temperature last monday, previous week being 46degrees, we had a max of 20degrees celcius last monday. What a big change. AND we will be expecting a lower than average temperature for the next 3 months...talk about global warming...this is global ice age looking to make an appearance!

Side skirts for the car has been sold....yes SOLD! ...no more side skirts for now. Car partially clay barred, and waxed....hmm...what else happened... OH
lysterfield park again last saturday with Kevin and Salony and another couple who tagged along. Poor salony had cut and bruises all over her leg...1st time ride!!! a little rough for sure haha
